Beautiful coat, AWFUL sizing

This coat is undeniably beautiful, heavy fabric, interesting details, but the sizing is just so far off that I actually thought they'd send me the wrong item. I am a UK size 18 and bought the XXL, but I could barely get my arms into it, and there was at least a six inch gap across my bust between the two sides of the coat. It wasn't just tight, it was completely unwearable. If it had actually turned out to be a size 12, I wouldn't have been surprised - but no, it really was the XXL/18. Just truly bananas sizing which is such a shame because as I say, it's a beautiful coat.
